Hi, my name is Debbie Pollesch and I am the owner and operator of Within A Mother’s Arms. I bring over 22 years of experience as a registered nurse with a background in Mom/Baby, LDRP, and pediatric clinic care. I also practiced as an IBCLC from 2004–2019 and continue to provide breastfeeding and postpartum support as an RN/CLC.

In addition to my clinical and lactation experience, I now serve as a Nurse Wellness Advocate, supporting women and families through all stages of life. I blend evidence‑based nursing with whole‑person wellness education to help clients understand their bodies, build sustainable habits, and feel confident in their daily health and well‑being.

My Journey

I have been a nurse since 1994 and began working with new families as a mom/baby nurse in 1996. I quickly realized the many struggles faced by new moms when learning to breastfeed. Wanting to be good at my job, I furthered my education in the area of breastfeeding and became a lactation educator. In this role, I continued as a staff nurse

I have been a nurse since 1994 and began working with new families as a mom/baby nurse in 1996. I quickly realized the many struggles faced by new moms when learning to breastfeed. Wanting to be good at my job, I furthered my education in the area of breastfeeding and became a lactation educator. In this role, I continued as a staff nurse but also taught breastfeeding and childbirth classes as well as filled in for the lactation consultants in the hospital. I continued to develop a passion for breastfeeding and became certified by the International Lactation Consultants Association. I left the hospital setting in 2007 to pursue growing my business as a private lactation consultant after starting Within A Mother's Arms in 2005.

In 2025, after being frustrated with the lack of personalized care from the established medical profession; I began researching more holistic remedies for what I had been "living with" for several years.  In the pursuit to reclaim my health at 54 years old, I became passionate about helping other people (particularly women) who are going through mid-life transitions. In 2026 I decided to expand Within A Mother's Arms to include helping women/families through all life stages; because we never stop being a mom and we never outgrow our mother's arms.

Personally, I am married and have 4 adult children.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Within A Mother’s Arms provides the professional and personal support families need to begin their breastfeeding and parenting journey with confidence. Whether you need a coach, a cheerleader, a teacher, or a steady guide during the early weeks home, I am here to walk alongside you with compassion and evidence‑based care.

My philosophy has

Within A Mother’s Arms provides the professional and personal support families need to begin their breastfeeding and parenting journey with confidence. Whether you need a coach, a cheerleader, a teacher, or a steady guide during the early weeks home, I am here to walk alongside you with compassion and evidence‑based care.

My philosophy has always been simple: some is better than none. Breastfeeding is personal and unique to every mother and baby. There is no single “ideal” that fits every family, and I believe deeply in supporting each parent’s individual goals. Helping mothers succeed in the ways that matter most to them is empowering, and it is a privilege to be part of that transformation.

As my work has grown, so has my passion for supporting women beyond the newborn stage. In addition to lactation and postpartum care, I now serve as a Wellness Advocate—helping women understand their bodies, navigate life‑stage changes, and build sustainable habits that support their energy, mood, digestion, recovery, and overall well‑being. My goal is to empower women through every season of life with education, encouragement, and practical tools that honor their unique needs.

I consider it a blessing to be invited into these intimate and meaningful moments in a family’s life, and I am committed to offering support that is grounded in respect, compassion, and whole‑person wellness.
